Pre-trial settlement recovery for a Pilot that developed multiple myeloma after his long-term exposure to diesel exhaust fumes in the wheelhouse of the vessel. The case was resolved after the Defendant’s Daubert motions to bar the Plaintiff’s experts from testifying that the Pilot’s multiple myeloma was caused by exposure to the diesel exhaust, which contains numerous carcinogens, including benzene, was denied.
